When I first began to learn from Rama about the auric field, the initial lesson was around the emotional body. I had begun to see colours of the aura. I still can only see the first few layers, the others I see more in my minds eye. But he showed me it changed constantly. It moved and morphed at every moment. I had thought, or assumed from drawn pictures in books that it had a fixed nature. As time passed I was shown that it did have a general blueprint. This ‘blueprint’, although malleable, was based in the nature of our thoughts. If we thought a certain way on a regular basis then our emotional body, would reflect this. It was like an imprint on a matress, the more we lay in a certain position the more the matress would hold that form. So our emotional body did hold set patterns and these patterns reflected our thoughts which then in turn again, affected our feelings. This was how negative cycles of thinking created emotional issues or patterns that repeat like a broken record. But this in itself is never an unchanging blueprint, which is why the emotional body is constantly altering. Yes we have patterns that repeat because we can’t change our thinking, but we are never stuck in a set way of feeling. We simply get stuck in an emotional pattern because we can’t change our thinking.

The emotional body holds our stories. These stories make up who we are, connect us to our past, form our identity. When we have experienced a life of hardship, whether it be through abandonment, bullying, abuse, then these stories sit in the emotional body preparing us for how we will react in the present. When we react, we create from the stories that have shaped us. This then gives birth to even more stories that reflect the patterns in our emotional body which continue to influence our lives.
This is a large part of how we manifest, how we draw things to us. It is both our thoughts and our perception that creates the feeling around creating. If I thought I am not worthy of love, due to my experiences, then what follows is feelings of unworthiness. This unworthiness becomes an energy pattern in the emotional body, which then connects to our thinking and creates a kind of playback of repeating history, from thoughts to feelings and feelings to thoughts.
Even though we can have many set patterns of ‘feedback loops’, what does move and morph in the emotional body is the constant reaction to and interaction within what Frederico Faggin might refer to as the quantum field. Rama has always said to me, ‘Everything is energy’. It was the very first lesson he gave me. This quantum field IS everything. We live in it, we are it, and we interact and observe it. So the emotional body, as part of the whole soul, is quantum and living. It moves as light, is light and is energy. Its essence is who we are, but it is also part of everything, despite having its own autonomy. Think of it as a drop of water in the unending ocean of Source.
The emotional body has its own identity and this gift of individuality is what interacts with the quantum field it resides in. When we have an exchange with another, our emotional bodies, our energetic identities interact as light playing with light. We exchange light, we give and receive light and within this light we exchange, are codes, information. The emotional body reads the information in the field. It reads the information in the emotional bodies of those around it. The information is held within the patterns of the emotional body. The information is the feeling. Whatever the feeling may be, the information is subjective and unique, a unique pattern at every moment held in that persons being.

The whole universe works with patterns. The human energy body is no different. The energy body is the blue print of the ‘physical’ body. Atoms form molecules and molecules form matter. At its deepest level, atoms are energy patterns, fields of patterns, not particles, or ‘solid things’. You might stop here and roll your eyes at this theory given to me by my guide. I would understand, as it is a strange idea to think everything is energy. Matter is simply a structured field that holds its form unchanging for long periods, or short periods of time. A tree has an energy pattern, or patterns, that are layered just as the human energy body is layered. These fields that layer, hold patterns of geometric form that appear to the human eye as unchanging. Yet look closer. At every step the tree changes form, as does the human body. The body is the result of these fields. Matter is simply form that holds its layered fields. When form resists other forms, as these other forms hold their geometric patterns or fields, we experience the reality of ‘solidity’. The energy body is not experienced as solid due to its ethereal quality. However the human body is another layer of the field of the human soul that presents as solid. The human being is a layered field of geometric patterns that express as both ethereal and corporal. But all of it is quantum and all of it is consciousness.

So if we think of the emotional body as the field that feels then we come a little closer to understanding what it is. This field of feeling is a sensor. When we interact with one another the fields interplay through the dance of feeling. Feeling, light, all dancing like light on water. When we work with the emotional body from a perspective of healing we are essentially trying to reconstruct patterns within it that cause us suffering. The feedback loop patterns cause us pain because they draw to us repeat experiences.
It is not until we change our thinking that we can essentially change our feeling. I have to make a distinction here. We have feelings that are pure and born out of experience. For example when we have an exchange that is spontaneous, such as seeing a dolphin for the first time playing in the ocean, a stranger showing us kindness, or we find something funny and laugh effortlessly, the experiences are pure. They have no feedback loop that causes pain because of the negative way we think. Might I suggest it is these kind of moments we that ought to fill our lives and minds. But we are only human and we live in the dark as much as the light.
When it comes to negative feedback loops in the emotional body we have to work hard at shifting our thinking through self awareness. When we become aware of our thinking we catch ourselves in the feedback loop. Then imagine clearing a space that is beautiful, a mountain peak or meadow and place into it a basket, or a light container. Put the thought it in. Hold it in there, surrounded by light and close the lid. Once the repeating thought is in there begin to explore what created it. Most likely it will be attached to hurt, resentment, rejection, fear, lack of self love, and try to pin point its creation. Now if you can, even though you may feel blameless, or you even are blameless, track time back to a moment where you can take responsibility for the creation. Then forgive yourself and ask it to heal. I use the word ‘it’ because these feedback loops in the emotional body can become entire entities. You are speaking to the entity you created and asking it to let you go, through self forgiveness. Practices such as the Ho’oponopono can help a great deal to shift these negative loops, to change the thinking within a space that has no ill will, or bad intention. The basket, the light, the forgiveness prayer all helps to recreate within the emotional body a new pattern of feeling. Watch the thoughts, write them down, observe them and then meditate, be in a state of mind where the loop has no hold. Do this more and more and you will find a shift begins in your mind. The feelings will the follow. It it is not a quick fix. If you resent an ex partner, a parent, a work colleague and you will be drawn back into the loop through interactions with them, but again with a will that is clear return to the space where the loop has no hold. Just know all is energy, and energy never dies only transforms. You are that eternal, ethereal energy consciousness that can change form whenever you are ready to give over to it.
